Nili Golshan is a New York–based photographer whose work explores her relationship to femininity through self-portraiture, performance, and surreal imagery. Her images balance beauty with instability, often drawing from cinematic environments to create moments that feel both intimate and confrontational. She reclaims qualities often labeled as excessive, seductive, or threatening, reframing them as forms of power and expression. Through staged, stylized imagery, she examines the expectations placed on women to perform emotionally, sexually, and physically, reworking them on her own terms.
